Five Advantages Of Small Cat Flaps

If you need a small cat flap then there are a number of brands and versions you can decide on. It can be difficult to select a good one should you be uncertain which is most ideally suited to your small cats requirements. Selecting the best flaps can be difficult and time consuming when you don’t know how to begin.

Some great benefits of a small cat flap:

*Benefit 1:

The smaller sized cat flap is ideal in case you have a smaller cat and wish to teach it to use the new flap. This is great practice and gets them accustomed to the feeling of the flap on their back, plus the flap will not end up being too heavy either.

*Benefit 2:

They are harder to get through for bigger pets and/or household criminals. It is a depressing fact that burglars can get through many door flaps when they can manage to get their head and shoulders through it, and this can be discerning. The smaller sized the flap the less likely this is to happen. Even a robber that you will find reaching up to grab the door key could be thwarted using a tiny cat flap.

*Benefit 3:

They help to keep your house warmer during cool periods as the size of the hole is physically smaller and so much less air can get out through regular use.

*Benefit 4:

They assist to maintain the structural integrity of the entrance. Basically if a huge opening had been cut into a wooden door then the door becomes weaker as a result. The smaller the hole cut into the door, then more of it's strength stays helping to keep your home safeguarded.

*Benefit 5:

Less obtrusive. Small cat flaps aren't on display quite as much as a bigger cat flap and so do not distract from the appearance of your house.
